BOOKKEEPING SPECIALIST

 
WHO IS THIS FOR?  
This program is aimed at individuals who are looking to acquire work in fnancial or accounting areas.  Upon completion the trainee will possess knowledge and skills required to succeed in an entry level position as a Bookkeeping Specialist. This course covers areas of bookkeeping principles, account receivables/payables, payroll and accounting cycles.  Students will learn to work with spreadsheet applications and Intuit QuiickBooks. Instructions also cover office procedures & phone skills. Value added topics such as how to handle sales tax and self-promotion & career development are aimed to provide our trainees with compatitive advantage during their job search and to enhance their prospects for future career advancement.  Trainees will spend a minimum of 10 weeks using acquired skills during their externship at various companies (subject to meeting internship qualification criteria).
